| Tortola is at the centre of the BVI; and is the largest and most populated island. Road Town is the only 'real town' you will find in the BVI. There are many shops, restaurants, bars, hotels, art galleries, banks, and government buildings; as well as very steep roads and beautiful beaches and cays. There are also ferry and cruise ship docks along with the airport on the connecting Beef Island. You can find the 'Skyworld' restaurant high up in the hills which has virtually 360° stunning views of the island. Some of the most popular bays are Cane Garden Bay, calm and most picturesque Smugglers Bay, and Brewers Bay for some of the best for snorkeling in BVI. |
